Harley Davidson 120th Homecoming

It’s been a few days since I have posted. I was in Milwaukee at the Harley Davidson 120th Anniversary Homecoming. It was really fun and was a great experience. In the photos below you can see where I parked on the first day and a ton of the motorcycles in the parking area. The vast number of motorcycles everywhere was really overwhemling. These were only at the museum and there were venues at Vetrans Park, the Powertrain Operations, and 6 other dealerships.

I did take the chance to go through the museum with an incredible number of motorcycles. You can see some of the ones below. I did get to see the new CVO models. It was cool to see them and get to interact with them. I visited the Powertrain Opertations factory and was able to see engines being made, specifically the new 121 on the CVOs. I got professional pictures taken of my bike and was able to place a pin for my local dealership/HOG chapter on the map. I met a lot of great people out and about. I also spent a good bit of time at dealerships enjoying the festivities and the rides to them. I put a couple hundered miles just doing that.

One thing I saw everywhere I went was people looking out for and helping each other. I appreciate the help from the gentleman helping me when backing into a tight space on the grass. People helping people is a great form of security. There is saftey in numbers when everyone is keeping an eye out. I spotted someone who left their keys in their bike and was able to get them back to their owner. These were things happening all the time.

I think we should change the saying from, “See something, say something.” to, “See someing, do something.” Obviously only do something if you have the capability to do so. However, saying something is doing something, and we all have a voice.
